‘Misinformation’ with Bundoran council work should not be tolerated
Cllr Michael McMahon defends council workers and community groups from what he called ‘misinformation’
Bundoran-based councillor, Michael McMahon, defended council workers and community groups at Donegal Municipal District’s September meeting, stating that misinformation should not be tolerated.
The Sinn Féin councillor said: “There is misinformation in Bundoran. I want to say that the workers in the morning go out and work very closely together.”
He continued: “The town has been cleaned every single day, and the compliments coming back to me have been fantastic.
“We want to be fair to the team that does the work, that get up at weekends to do the work. I want to thank them.
“Misinformation, we should not tolerate it, and I want to defend the council workers and community groups.”
Area Manager for Roads and Transportation, Mark Sweeney, confirmed that the work of road sweeping was being done early in the mornings.
He said: “The work is being done, but the people are not seeing it, and that is probably why.”
