Donegal duo Damien Tourish and Domhnall McAlaney won the two-wheel drive section of the Mayo Forestry Rally on Sunday.

Cloghan driver Tourish with McAlaney, who lives in Letterkenny, on the notes, were ninth overall and the first 2WD in their Ford Escort.

Tourish and McAlaney were out on top after six super stages in their historic spec Escort.

They edged out Hugh McQuaid and Dylan Casey, in a Mk2, with Cian Caldwell and Paul McPhillips third in their Peugeot 208 Rally4.
