Even with extremely wet and demanding conditions throughout the event, the West Tyre/Westport Woods Hotel & Spa Mayo Rally delivered a thrilling conclusion with plenty of Donegal interest in the final shake up.

David Kelly and Paddy McCrudden, driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, secured victory by the narrowest of margins just one-tenth of a second ahead of reigning national champions Eddie Doherty from Kilkenny and his Limerick co-driver Tom Murphy.

Completing an all-Donegal presence on the podium, Matthew Boyle and Gary Byrne claimed third place late in the rally, ensuring a clean sweep of the top three positions for the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.
