"I THOUGHT it wouldn't get any better after South Africa but the fans have proved me wrong yet again, they just keep turning up for us."

These were the words of a delighted Johnny Sexton after Ireland's 36-14 win against Scotland.

The captain continued on by saying that is hugely important for the team to continue showing-up for their fans given the huge amount of support the team received yet again this weekend.

"They give us the best days of our life's and we give them something similar if you look around at the faces. We are delighted to win the pool, but we know this is where we want to be in the quarter-finals against the toughest opposition we could get, it's the hand we have been dealt and we just have to be ready for New Zealand next week."

Leinster out-half looked laser focused in his post match interview after only playing 45 minutes of the game, but it is certain that Ireland and their fans have a huge task ahead of them next weekend.
