GARDAÍ have seized a vehicle with lengthy tax arrears and a dangerously worn tire in Limerick city.
The vehicle, which was spotted on John's Street, immediately caught the attention of the Gardaí when they noticed the out-of-date tax disc.
It was found that the vehicle's road tax had not been renewed for nearly nine months, 259 days, an offense that carries serious consequences, including fines and penalties.
Gardaí also discovered that a tire on the front of the vehicle was severely worn, with visible signs of damage and lack of tread.
Shared online via X, a garda spokesperson said: "The driver was unaware of the danger posed to himself and other road users."
