SETU Carlow offer 22-year-old an escape from the Gaza war zone to Irish Education
Maram Salah, originally from Gaza, is a master's student at South East Technological University (SETU) Carlow.
Maram left Gaza-Palestine twenty-five days before the war started while her brother, Ammar, stayed behind.
Ammar, a 22-year-old, excelled in Industrial Engineering at the Islamic University of Gaza. Tragically, amongst the conflict and war his university was bombed, disrupting the education of many students including Ammar.
Determined to continue his academic studies and to escape from the Gaza war zone, Ammar has been offered the opportunity to study Computer Science at SETU Carlow.
His sister Maram has set up a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to support his education and relocation to Ireland.
