In a mesmerising display, people were treated to a stunning view last night, as a procession of lights made its way across the night sky.

Carlow Weather reported about the phenomenon, after a photographer captured the celestial spectacle on camera.

They were said to have been the Starlink Satellites, a part of SpaceX's ambitious project to provide global broadband coverage.

The Starlink Satellites, launched by SpaceX, are designed to bring high-speed internet access to even the most remote corners of the globe.

On the cold yet clear night, the line of lights traced across the darkness, sparking curiosity and awe among onlookers.

One follower of the weather channel, noted their viewing of the satellites, which were visible to them over Tinahely, Co Wicklow.

Others noted seeing them over Tipperary, Carlow, and Kilkenny to name a few.
