National: Serious assault of two people sees one victim left in a 'critical' condition

Two men who were seriously assaulted shortly after 10pm on Easter Saturday has seen one left in a 'critical' condition in hospital.

Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Saturday, March 30.
 
Two males, believed to be in their late 20s, were assaulted at approximately 10:15pm outside a residential premises in the Grange View Way area.
 
One of the males has been taken to Tallaght Hospital were his condition is described as critical.
 
The second male is also receiving medical treatment for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
 
A scene is currently held for technical examination. No arrests have been made at this time.
 
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
 
Gardaí are particularly looking to speak with anyone who was in the Tower Road area of Clondalkin between 9:30pm to 10:15pm, anyone who was traveling on the number 13 bus between Clondalkin and Bawnogue between 9:45pm and 10:15pm and anyone who was in the Grange View Way area of Clondalkin between 10:00pm and 10:30pm.
