An investigation is under way after a man’s body was found at a house in Co Kildare on Sunday.
The discovery was made on Sunday at approximately 1.30pm at a residence in Eustace Demesne in Naas.
A man in his 40s has been arrested as part of the investigation and he is currently being detained at a garda station in Kildare.
The man’s body has since been removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday afternoon, the results of which will determine the course of the garda investigation.
The scene remains preserved for technical examination this evening.
