Gardaí charge man arrested over knife incident near school at Parnell Square
A man arrested following an incident of alleged threatening behaviour in Dublin City Centre on Tuesday morning has been charged.
It is understood the incident occurred outside a school in the Parnell Square area, and it is believed a knife was used in the incident.
Gardaí say the man was arrested for alleged offences under the Firearms and Offences Weapons Act. He has since been charged and is due in court this morning.
A Garda statement read: "Gardaí have charged the man who was arrested in the Parnell Square area of Dublin City centre yesterday morning Tuesday 28th May, 2024.
"He remains in Garda custody and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning. Investigations ongoing," it concluded.
