An Irish man has taken to social media to share his shock after having a rather peculiar experience abroad involving Joe Duffy.

In a post shared by @Caolanmcaree on X (formerly Twitter), people gathered around a TV in Luxembourg in an unknown location to watch the UEFA European Football Championship (Euros).
The video shared on X showed a crowd gather to watch a match between Spain and England which took place on Friday, July 5, which was being streamed via RTÉ.
What really caught the Irish man's attention, however, was that the TVs showing the Euros via RTÉ were not turned off at night but instead, played repeats of Joe Duffy's Liveline radio show instead.

"I was walking past it about 3am a few nights ago and the TVs were still on and they were blaring a repeat of Liveline and Joe Duffy's voice was booming around the streets," X user @Caolanmcaree said.
One person jokingly replied, saying: "Great idea at 3am. Joe Duffy would put anyone asleep."
