Gardaí were rushed to the scene of an incident of a busy Sligo town this afternoon which resulted in a lengthy standoff between a man and negotiators.
The incident occurred on the Main Street in Collooney, County Sligo this afternoon, where a van was left blocking the road.
The alarm was raised after a man reportedly barricaded himself inside the van and produced equipment believed to be suspicious.
