ALERT: Iceland and Slimming World ready-made meals pulled from shelves due to allergy fears

Ready-made meals from two leading suppliers have been pulled from Irish supermarket shelves due to allergy fears.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued an urgent product recall for batches of ready-made meals from Iceland and Slimming World, with a wide array of flavours and best before dates impacted.

Both Iceland and Slimming World are recalling the products as they may contain peanut. 

"Peanut is not an ingredient in this product and therefore is not declared in the list of ingredients. This may make the batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of peanut," the FSAI said in a statement.

Iceland is recalling their Takeaway Chicken Jalfrezi 375g with all date codes up to and including BB: 18/04/2026; their Takeaway Chicken Madaras 375g with all date codes up to and including BB: 28/03/2026; and their Takeaway Chinese Style Chicken Curry 375g with all date codes up to and including BB: 28/02/2026.

Slimming World is recalling their Burger Pasta 400g with all date codes up to and including BB: 01/05/2025; their Cajun Chicken Lunch Bowl 400g with all date codes up to and including BB: 16/11/2025; their Katsu Chicken Lunch Bowl 400g with all date codes up to and including BB: 18/02/2026; their Chicken Balti Biryani 550g with all date codes up to and including BB: 22/02/2026; and their Lasagne 550g with all date codes up to and including BB: 06/06/2025.
