"As we head into the winter, we want to give our customers certainty that we will not increase prices before March of next year at the earliest," PrePayPower CEO, Conor Fay, has said.

He added that it's because of the cost of living pressures that many customers are facing.

PrePayPower has dropped prices twice since the start of 2023 and has not had any increases during that period either.

The cuts saw the average annual bill reduced by €247.

Other energy companies, such as Flogas, SSE Airtricity, Bord Gáis, Energia, and Pinergy have all announced price increases for their electricity customers in recent weeks.

Electric Ireland have said it will not be increasing prices for electricity customers before winter and it has lowered gas prices by 4%.
