Two pedestrians have been pronounced dead after two separate traffic collisions occurred overnight.
Shortly after midnight (Sunday November 27), Gardaí were alerted to a collision involving a car and pedestrian on the N83 at Cahervoley, Cummer near Tuam, Co Galway.
The pedestrian, a man in his mid-40s, was taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway (UHG) where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, did not require hospital treatment.
The second collision occurred shortly before 1am involving a car and pedestrian at Poppintree Park Lane West, Ballymun, Co Dublin.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 30s, was taken from the scene to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car did not require hospital treatment.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to either collision to come forward, particularly those with camera footage including dash-cam.
