Impressive win for Ann-Marie McGlynn at Raheny 5 Mile

Ann-Marie McGlynn took an impressive victory at the 39th AXA Raheny 5 Mile on Sunday.

The Letterkenny AC athlete won the women's race in 26 minutes and 43 seconds.

McGlynn was a bronze medal winner with the Irish senior women's team at the European Cross Country Championships in Italy.

McGlynn has been in excellent form and was fourth at the National Cross Country Championships in Rosapenna.

On Sunday, McGlynn won from West Limerick's Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill (27:03) and Sinead O'Connor of Leevale (27:14).

Letterkenny AC's Nakita Burke was seventh in the women's race, clocking 27:39 while Lifford-Strabane AC runner Claire McGuigan finished 12th in 28:34
