Eamon Kelly took a seventh placed finish at the recent Malcolm Wilson Rally in Cockermouth.

The Frosses man, in his VW Polo GTi R5, admitted things might not have gone the way he planned but he was still content enough with the experience.

“It was a tough day in the office for us,” Kelly said on his social media. “I struggled to gain confidence from the off, not driving to my capabilities, despite the tough conditions. Sometimes you just have days like that!

“Nonetheless, things went in the right direction throughout the day, and it’s an amazing feeling to be driving one of these machines in anger.

“Huge thanks to Conor, and to VSM as always for keeping us right. It’s back to the drawing to drawing board and we will be back stronger”.
