Letterkenny mixed martial artist Jordan Furey will move into the professional ranks.

The 23-year-old has been signed up by Clan Wars and will make his pro debut in June.

Furey will take to the cage on June 11 at Clan Wars 47 at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast.

Furey holds a 10-2 recent as an amateur fighter. He trains out of the Straight Blast Gym in Dublin alongside Bellator professional and Moville native Darragh Kelly.

Furey is a two-time Shock 'n' Awe titlist.

In March, he overcame Charlie Hatton in Portsmouth to win the lightweight title, having defeated Connor Tymon in October to grab the welterweight crown.
