Dylan Browne-McMonagle
Dylan Browne-McMonagle landed a Fairyhouse double on Friday to make it five winners for the week.
The Letterkenny man landed the EBF Median Auction Maiden on Rapparee Champ, Joseph O'Brien's pre-race 4/5 favourite, having taken 11/4 favourite Night Sparkle to the La Bucca Restaurants Handicap for M O'Callaghan.
Under pressure from Golden Temple, a 17/2 chance with Robbie Colgan in the saddle, Browne-McMonagle got over the line with a head to spare.
“He was a good winner at the line,” Browne-McMonagle said.
“You could have easily accepted second there a furlong-and-a-half down, if you wanted, but I knew my lad was going to come good for me.
loved the way he got through the line and he's going to improve when he steps up in trip, and he's only going to learn on the job.”
Browne-McMonagle was also on the double at Limerick on Wednesday.
After winning aboard O'Brien's Alazne at 9/4, he followed up by taking a victory by over three lengths on the 2/1 favourite Navagio for Ray Cody.
At Leopardstown on Thursday, Browne-McMonagle recorded another win for O'Brien.
In the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Handicap, he had three lengths to spare to Extensio, the 6/1 shot ridden by Seamie Heffernan.
Oisin Orr bagged a double at Wetherby on Tuesday for Richard Fahey. Orr is Fahey's stable jockey and he had fine wins on She's A Gambler (9/2) and Shot Of Love (15/2).
