Jason Quigley doesn't need to be reminded of the possibilities that await.
Quigley has weighed in for Saturday night's NABO super-middleweight title showdown with Edgar Berlanga.
There was just .2 of a pound between them, Quigley touching the scales at 167.6lbs and Berlanga moving the needle a little further to 167.8lbs
Berlanga has the belt and an unbeaten tag Quigley – who lost out to Demetrius Andrade for the WBO world middleweight title in November 2021 - is aiming to remove at Madison Square Garden.
“This is a massive opportunity to really show my worth,” Quigley said. “People have been overlooking me so this is a chance to put a respectable stamp on my name.”
Quigley has previously won the NABF and NABO middleweight straps in his professional career.
After almost a year-and-a-half of inaction, Quigley came back to the ring earlier this year when beating Gabor Gorbics in Dublin.
A possible world title shot would be on the horizon again with victory over Berlanga, who has been signed up by Matchroom.
Quigley said: “We know the opportunities that are there and the doors that this fight can open. I haven't even thought about these guys. Edgar is all that I am getting ready for. The only focus for me is Edgar.”
