Sean McGinley has been confirmed as part of the Ireland team for the 2023 European Under-23 Championships.
The Finn Valley AC athlete is one of 32 athletes confirmed by Athletics Ireland to make the trip to Espoo, Finland from July 13-16.
McGinley was a silver medalist the 2022 European Cross Country Championships with Ireland Under-20s.
On Sunday, the Glenswilly man won silver in the under-23 men’s steeplechase and will take part in the same event in Finland.
McGinley ended in 9:21.30 with the race won by Ennis’s Oisin Spillane, who clocked 9:08.56 in Tullamore.
McGinley is coached by John Rogan and is the only Donegal athlete to make the trip.
