Jamie Meehan following his success in the men’s U-23 race at the National Road Cycling Championships last month
The local community in Mountcharles will be acknowledging Jamie Meehan's fantastic achievement of becoming the Men's U-23 National Road Race Cycling Champion, with a presentation next week.
He won the gold medal in the men’s U-23 race at the National Road Cycling Championships in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. On Friday, July 14, at 8pm on Main Street, Mountcharles, just outside Kitty Joe's cafe, Meehan will be the guest of his locality.
Meehan, who studied at Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town, cycled with Tir Chonaill GAP Cycling Club before moving to VC Glendale and then onto Spellman Dublin Port for last season. This year he has raced for Brocar Ale.
