Martin Harley.
Donegal jockeys were toasting superb success in recent days.
Martin Harley, Oisin Orr, Brandon Wilkie, Luke McAteer and Dylan Browne-McMonagle were all in winners’ enclosures.
In Australia, Martin Harley saddled three winners as he continued his big comeback from a bad neck injury.
Harley won on Friday aboard Sidearm before taking two wins on Saturday, first on King Klaus and then on Top Spy.
McAteer earned a 14/1 winner for Jim Bolger at Naas on Saturday. McAteer guided Slaney Tide to an impressive win in the Care At Home Services Handicap.
At Haydock, Oisin Orr secured his latest win for Richard Fahey, for whom he is now the stable jockey.
Orr steered 11/4 favourite Ramazan to win by a length from the 7/2 shot Chartwell House.
Wilkie was on the 11/1 Shallow Hall to get over the line by a neck to win the Apprentice Handicap at Carlisle on Saturday. Initially held up at the rear, Wilkie made a move to take the lead inside the final furlong and did enough to hold off the advances of the 3/1 Giselles Izzy.
On Thursday night at Yarmouth, Wilkie won on the William Knight-trained Bunker Bay.
Browne-McMonagle rode What Adaay to victory at Bellewstown on Thursday. Browne-McMonagle won on the Patrick Martin-prepared mount before taking Joseph O’Brien’s Warnie, the 10/11 favourite, to glory the following day.
On Saturday, Convoy’s Kyle McHugh finished second on Denis Hogan’s 28/1 chance American in Paris in the Apprentice Handicap at Naas, which was won by Livingston Range (11/1).
