It will be English versus British when the Letterkenny natives races the likes of Kyle Langford, who is aiming for a fourth successive win at the Morton Games.
English is the Irish record holder at 1:44.71 and is a four-time European medallist.
English recently won an 800m at a British Milers Club meet in Watford.
Langford will be gunning for his latest Santry success and will have the 2023 British Indoor champion Guy Learmonth for company. Pierce Copeland, another Briton who was the 2019 European Under-23 silver medallist.
Austrian Jack Lunn, who lowered his PB to 1:45.88 last month, and six-time Hungarian champion Balazs Vindics will also be in attendance alongside Dutchman Bram Buigel, who won at the Belfast Milers Meet in May, and Kenyan athlete Edward Kemboi.
On Wednesday evening, Finn Valley AC’s Roisin Flanagan - who has returned to Ireland with her twin Eilish from their US base for the National Senior Championships - is due to go under starter’s orders in a top-class 5,000m in Belgium.
Flanagan will be in action at Meeting International d'Athletisme de la Province de Liege, a World Athletics Continental Tour bronze level meet.
