Sommer Lecky finished third in the women’s high jump at the Morton Games on Friday night.
In challenging conditions, the Finn Valley AC woman jumped a best of 1.78m to take the third spot.
Lecky had competed in the European Games earlier this summer in Poland and took her place in Santry at the World Athletics Continental Tour bronze level meet.
Urtė Baikštytė from Lithuania won with a 1.84m leap with Australian Erin Shaw second, going over at 1.81m.
In the men’s shot put, Finn Valley duo Gavin Mclaughlin and James Kelly finished sixth and seventh respectively. McLaughlin threw out to 17.40m with Kelly going to 16.57m.
Mark English and John Kelly did not start in the 800m and shot put.
Irish runner Sarah Lavin set a new stadium record of 12.79 seconds to win the women’s 100m hurdles in the night’s outstanding performance.
