Kilmacrennan navigator Paddy Robinson secured the 2023 Northern Ireland Co-Drivers title at the weekend.

Robinson had a second-placed finish on Sunday at the Down Rally, sitting alongside Desi Henry in the Citroen C3 Rally 2.

The experienced note caller was fifth in the standings heading into the event.

However, he climbed the place with Henry finishing second behind rally winner Cathan McCourt, who steered the Fiesta to victory with Brian Hoy riding shot gun,

Graham Henderson was leading the Co-Drivers’ Championship heading into the weekend and he finished 12th with Derek McGarrity.

The other protagonists, Inishowen’s Darren Curran and Convoy man Dean O’Sullivan also competed at the weekend alongside Aaron McLaughlin and Darren McKelvey.

Robinson also had podium finishes at the likes of the Maiden City Stages and the Tour of the Sperrins.

The weekend’s was a real highlight for Robinson and the duo will now look to finish the Irish Tarmac Championship campaign with further solid runs.
