Bronze for Joshua Magee in Peru

Raphoe's Joshua Magee teamed up with Paul Reynolds to win bronze in the men's doubles at the Peru Challenge 2023 in Lima.

Raphoe badminton player Joshua Magee won bronze at the Peru Challenge 2023.

Magee linked up with Paul Reynolds to take bronze in the men’s doubles.

Magee and Reynolds defeated Algeria’s Koceila Mammeri and Youcef Sabri Medel 21-9 21-12 to move into the quarter-finals.

In their last eight tie, Magee and Reynolds overcame home pair Jose Guevara and Diego Mini 21-14 21-16.

Number one seeds Nyl Yakura and Adam Dong from Canada held sway in the semi-finals, defeating Magee and Reynolds 21-16 21-14.

Rachael Darragh reached the quarter-finals of the women’s singles in Lima.

Darragh lost out 21-7 21-14 to Keisha Fatumah Az Zahra from Azerbaijan in the quarters.

Darragh opened up with two victories over home players Rafaela Castaneda Quintanilla (21-8 21-19) and Fernanda Sayonara Rivva (21-10 21-10).
