A magic Monday at the European Masters Athletics Championships saw Kathryn McDevitt win relay silver and book a place in the individual 400m final.
Kathryn McDevitt helped the Irish W40 4x100 relay team to silver in Pescara after landing a huge qualification time for the 400m final.
McDevitt ran the fourth leg as the Irish quartet finished in 52.08 seconds.
The Letterkenny AC woman, who was fifth in the 200m final on Sunday, has been a serial medal winner at Masters Championships.
McDevitt took Ireland, running out of lane five, to a comfortable silver medal position.
Michelle Metcalfe, Snezana Bechtina and Leona Garrity ran the opening three legs.
The Italian four of Silvia Di Domenico, Serena Caravelli, Annachiara De Pippo and Rosa Iovine took gold in 51.35 seconds.
Netherlands - who had Janneke Visser, Tanja Van der Plas, Melina Congiu and Jacqueline Drop in action - won bronze in 52.81 seconds.
Earlier on Monday, McDevitt clocked 1:02.09 in her 400m heat. McDevitt finished just behind Teresa Torres Gutierrez from Spain, who crossed the line in 1:01.08.
McDevitt hung on the coattails of Gutierrez for a massive qualification into Tuesday’s final.
