The IAU 50km World Championship is a prestigious ultramarathon race organised by the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU).

The 50km distance is a popular choice for ultrarunners, offering a unique challenge that falls between a marathon and longer ultramarathon distances.

Participation in the IAU 50km World Championship is typically based on qualification standards established by each country's national ultrarunning association or federation. Athletes need to meet specific performance criteria in order to be selected for their respective national teams.
