The Donegal Sports Star committee is continuing to accept nominations for the 2023 Awards from the South Donegal area. The closing date is Friday 24th November.
Chairperson Grace Boyle is asking sporting bodies in the South Donegal Area to use the unique opportunity to acknowledge successes of their teams or individuals at local, provincial, national and international level.
“It will be the 48th Donegal Sports Star Awards and the Committees over years have recognised many teams and individuals from South Donegal who have excelled at different levels.
As well as success we also take into account outstanding participation in sport as well as acknowledging women and men who have been engaged in long term volunteerism and dedication to a club or sporting body.
That is what our Appreciation category is for so our Committee is encouraging nominations for this very special category in the South Donegal area. I want to thank Donegal County Council for once again being our exclusive sponsor.
Their support gives us the platform to host an awards function that is so special with the mission of honouring our stars who do so much for Donegal sport” Ms Boyle said.
