Matthew McCole
Matthew McCole recorded a fine win in Austria on Saturday night.
The Illies Golden Gloves light-middleweight defeated Austrian Marcel Meinl.
The fight was held as part of the 13th Bounce Fight Night at the Hotel Intercontinental in Vienna.
McCole used his greater experience well to claim victory by unanimous decision. The Dungloe man was an impressive winner on the night.
McCole was part of an Ulster High Performance team that travelled with coaches Kevin Morgan and Liam Cunningham.
McCole was the only winner on Saturday with Erne’s Anthony Malanaphy out-pointed by Arsen Chabyan and Ormeau Road BC man Anthony Taggart beaten by Sajfullah Saidoulaev.
