Boomer and Campbell Classon celebrate at the Aviva last May.
Conall Boomer has signed for American Major League Rugby outfit The Chicago Hounds.
The Rosbeg native and former Ardara GAA player makes the move to the States after spending the last three seasons competing with Terenure College in the All-Ireland League.
2023 was a brilliant year for both Boomer and Terenure where he made twelve appearances in total, including 11 starts.
Terenure won the All Ireland League Division 1A title back in May after falling just short the previous season, losing to Clontarf. Boomer and Terenure got their revenge in the reprise though, winning the title with a dominant 50-24 scoreline at the Aviva Stadium. The flanker added a try in the 78th minute of the final.
Boomer is a former Ireland underage player that cut his teeth growing up in the Ulster system. He's represented Ireland at U-19 level and competed with the U-20 squad in the 2016 World Rugby and U-20 Championship.
The flanker also spent time in Australia playing with the Western Force U-20 team. Last autumn, Boomer togged out for Leinster in their friendly match against the Chilean national team.
