Adrienne Gallen throws new Donegal hammer record

Adrienne Gallen improved her own Donegal record in the hammer throw.

The Lifford-Strabane AC athlete threw out to 56.55m on Saturday.

The 19-year-old impressed to add half-a-metre onto the previous mark of 56.05m recorded at last summer’s National Senior Championships at Morton Stadium.

Then, Gallen won a senior bronze having been just 0.22m from a medal in 2022.

Gallen’s new PB and county recorded was recorded at the Dunboyne Throws Meet.
