Ulster U-18 vice captain Erin McConalogue
Inishowen native Erin McConalogue will represent Ireland in the U-18 Six Nations squad.
McConalogue was selected this week in the 35-player panel for the festival competition which takes place in Wales, starting March 29.
This comes following the news of the 16-year-old being selected as Ulster U-18 vice-captain.
The Donegal girl is one of four Ulster players in the Ireland panel this spring.
The festival takes place between March 29 and April 6, and the squad will assemble for a three-weekend training camp at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre on the Sport Ireland Campus in west Dublin.
Her appointment as vice-captain for the Ulster side and her selection to the Ireland U-18 panel is a testament to her ability as a player and leader.
Ulster lost to a strong Connacht last Thursday at Terenure College.
Their second game against Munster on Sunday was also a tough outing for the young Ulster team who lost out with McConalogue scoring the only Ulster try of the game.
