John Hutchinson is putting current ONE Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight MMA World Champion Anatoly Malykhin through his paces as the Russian looks to add the middleweight belt to his already impressive collection.

Malykhin will look to become a three-division MMA world champion when he takes on that division’s strap holder, Reinier de Ridder at ONE 166 in Qatar on Friday, March 1.

It's a rematch of their first encounter in December 2022, where Malykhin knocked out de Ridder in the opening round to seize the ONE light heavyweight world title.

Hutchinson or, ‘The Buncrana Banger’ as he was formerly known during his boxing days, has carved out an impressive as career as MMA striking coach and he regularly tunes up fighters at the Tiger Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand.

He’s looked after the likes of former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan in the past while fellow Inishowen man Darragh Kelly has also trained under his watch.
