Silver and new Tennessee University record for Mona McSharry in 100m breaststroke 

The Marlin’s Swimming graduate posted the fastest time in SEC history, touching the wall in 56.64 and the performance also moved her into a tie for third all-time in the 100-yard breaststroke

Mona McSharry landed silver and set a new Tennessee University record in the 100m breaststroke event at the 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Athens, Georgia.  

The Marlin’s Swimming graduate posted the fastest time in SEC history, touching the wall in 56.64. 

That performance also moved her into a tie for third all-time in the 100-yard breaststroke. It was the fourth year in a row McSharry finished inside the top four in the event at NCAAs, and she's a three-time medalist in the breaststroke events during her career
