Convoy Boxing Club's Kerry Brown blasted her way into a National Senior Cadet final.

Brown booked a place in the 57kgs final after a superb victory on Saturday evening.

Brown earned a unanimous decision victory over Anjolie Maughan in her semi-final at the National Stadium.

Brown took the clean sweep from the judges to gun down the Whitechurch woman – a former Irish champion.

The Convoy BC puncher will now face Gorey's Kayleigh Byrne in the final after Byrne's 3-2 split decision victory over Donna McCarthy from Cork.

When next she strolls down the South Circular Road, Brown will aim to become the second Convoy female to land an Irish title after Isabella Iwanek won the Girl 1 55kgs title earlier in the year.

Meanwhile, Taylor Parke's bid to win another Irish title was ended at the semi-final phase.

The Raphoe Boxing Club ace lost out to Robert Quinn from St Paul's of Antrim on a unanimous decision in their 42kgs clash.
