A memorial stone has been erected at the Park Development Sports Grounds at Moyle Road Milford in memory of the late Hugo Duggan.
Milford Athletic Club have shared the details. They said: “The unveiling ceremony will take place this Saturday, June 15, at 12 noon at the playing pitches - appropriately near the long jump area.
“John Cronin, President of Athletics Ireland will be a special guest along with other sports greats including five-time Olympic team manager and former coach to Hugo, Patsy Mc Gonagle.
“Hugo was involved with many sporting groups and also many groups outside of sport. His family in conjunction with Milford Ac and Milford Park Development cordially invite anyone from previous groups or who knew Hugo personally to come along. Refreshments will be served.”
