Callum Devine in action on Saturday

Matt Edwards leads the Wilton Recycling Donegal International Rally going into the final day but champion Callum Devine isn’t giving up hope of reeling in the Welshman.

Edwards currently has a 16.2 second lead over the Derry native who gained 7.8 seconds on the leader during Saturday’s final stage around Lough Keel.

“It was tricky conditions but we managed to make up some time there,” said Devine at the close of business on Saturday evening.  “Matt had a bit of a spin there so 16 seconds is definitely better than 24. It’s a big day tomorrow but we still have time to make up.

“We’ll get the head down now and start fresh on Sunday. We’re going as hard as we can and the pace is fast. Let’s see what Sunday brings”.
