Oisin Orr was a winner yet again on Tuesday
Donegal jockey Oisin Orr was successful at the Galway Races on Tuesday on board Richard Fahey’s trained Reidh.
Following a slow start, Orr was prominent soon after and remained steady throughout as he waiting for room from under two furlongs out. They ran well when they got the clear inside the final furlong as they raced home for the victory in the final strides.
This victory in Galway comes just days after the Rathmullan jockey took the 7/2 shot Cloudy Skye to the win in the 2:42 race at Pontefract with it marking yet another win for Orr and for trainer Richard Fahey.
Orr also claimed a third-place finish in the 3:42 race at the weekend, again riding a Richard Fahey trained horse in Life on the Rocks.
Orr is the current holder of the Donegal Sportsperson of the Year, after previously winning it in 2020.
