The Ballintra Races have ben cancelled
Heavy rainfall over the weekend means event organsiers have been left with no choice but to cancel the Ballintra Races.
The event was scheduled to take this afternoon, Bank Holiday Monday, but a short statement on the event’s Facebook page this morning confirms it won’t be going ahead.
“Unfortunately, due to recent heavy rainfall over the weekend and following an inspection of the race course this morning, we are left with no option but to cancel this year’s race meeting on health and safety reasons as the ground is completely waterlogged”.
