Cranford and Finn Valley AC’s Michael Moore and Stephen Slevin has been announced as two of 35 Irish athletes that will take part in the U-17 Scottish Championships to be held between August 16-18 in Grangemouth, Scotland.

Slevin is one of two Irish athletes that will take part in the High Jump event, while Moore is taking part in the 800m sprint.

For a lot of these young competitors this will be the first time that they have had a chance to represent their country and earn their first Irish vest whilst some of them have already competed in the SIAB’s earlier on this year.

This news comes over a month after the Finn Valley and Cranford athletes finished fourth in the Long Jump and 800m race respectively at the National Championships in Santry, Dublin back in June.
