Amy Timoney set a new milestone for Finn Valley AC at the weekend, breaking a 34-year-old club record in the senior hurdles.  

Competing in the 100m hurdles at the Ulster Senior Track & Field Championships, held at the Mary Peters Track, Timoney secured a silver medal with a time of 15.17 seconds.  

This achievement surpasses Danea Herron's previous record of 16.35 seconds, which had remained unchallenged since the BLE League at Santry in 1990, placing Timoney at the top of the club's rankings for the event.
