Donegal Olympian and Irish relay member Kelly McGrory is set to receive a warm homecoming in her native Donegal today (Friday) when she returns to Donegal Town.

The Tir Chonaill athlete delivered an outstanding performance as part of Ireland's 4 x 400 metres relay team, narrowly missing out on a medal in Paris.

McGrory gave an exceptional effort in the heats, helping secure Ireland's place in the final, where they were just edged out of the bronze medal.

She will be returning to Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town at 5pm today (Friday), and all are invited to join in the celebration.
