Katie-George Dunlevy and Eve McCrystal posted the second fastest time in the Women’s B 3000m Individual Pursuit and are now guaranteed at least a silver medal at the Paralympic Games.

At 1.41pm, Dunlevy - with strong family links to Mountcharles, and McCrystal will ride against the British pair of Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl in the gold medal race of the 3,000m individual pursuit.

The duo produced a superb performance to finish second in the qualifiers on Sunday morning with a time of 3:20.481.

There was controversy in the last qualifier as the French team were disqualified after unclipping.
