Conor Harvey collected the Danny Gormley Memorial Trophy after a nip-and-tuck battle at the 20-2024 Knockalla Hillclimb.

Letterkenny driver Harvey won with just 0.14 seconds to spare and nicked the win on his last run up the famous Knockalla hill.

Harvey, dual driving the KGP Darrian along with Kevin Gallagher, was the overall winner with Gallagher in second.

Harvey had a 42.83-second run with Gallagher's fastest time on Sunday 42.97 seconds.

On Sunday, Harvey set three fastest times with Gallagher landing two. Kilmacrennan driver Ivan Stewart, in a Fiesta R5, was third.

On day one on Saturday, Gallagher took victory with a best time of 43.05 seconds with Harvey second in 43.34 and Barry Morris, also behind the wheel of a Darrian, third on 43.44.

The weekend was a real weather mix with Saturday seeing the sun beat down on one of Donegal's most iconic stretches of rallying road. That gave way to rather more darker surroundings on Sunday.

Johnny Baird and John Crumlish were the Clerks of the Course for the event.

History was made on Saturday's running with the addition of the new J1 class.

This allowed junior drivers, aged 13-16, the chance to compete this famous event with Gemma Hallinan, Kade Gilchrist, Sam Gorman, James McShea and Jack McDermott all taking part.
