Dylan Browne McMonagle riding at Punchestown on Tuesday
Dylan Browne McMonagle secured a remarkable treble at Punchestown on Tuesday, with odds of 145/1, bringing his season’s tally to 30 victories.
The Donegal-born jockey kicked off the day by winning the first race aboard Amangani, a 100/30 contender trained by Joseph O’Brien, in the William Hill Keep Your Raceday Positive Irish EBF 2-Year-Old Fillies Maiden.
Taking control early on, Browne McMonagle guided Amangani to a comfortable two-length victory over Joyful Princes.
An hour later, he returned to the winner’s circle with Proleek Prince, trained by Michael Rice, fending off a challenge from Stormie Outlook to win by half a length.
He completed his treble in the William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Irish RBF Fillies Handicap, riding Shavasi to an emphatic win, finishing nearly three lengths ahead of favourite Presence.
It marked the jockey’s second success on Shavasi this season, while both Amangani and Proleek Prince were first-time winners under his guidance.
