Donegal father-son rallying duo win first Craig Breen Foundation Award

Illistrin father and son duo rallying Fabian and Oisin McShane were crowned the first winners of the Craig Breen Foundation Award at the weekend.

With Oisin behind the wheel and his father Fabian on the notes, the pair secured the Sligo Pallets Forest Rally Championship J1000, MIJRS.ie Junior Rally Series J1000 Championship title.

The McShanes won class 21 at the Clare Forestry Rally at the weekend in their VW Up! to complete a superb first year in the championship.

The McShanes were firmly ahead of Danny Brady and Darren O’Brien to take the class win.

The weekend’s victory in Clare made it three wins from four.

Convoy driver Jack Harris, with Aaron O’Regan from Cork calling the pace notes, won class 2A and finished 19th overall in a Fiesta.
