Donegal Rally driver Eamonn Kelly is preparing for an exciting week ahead as he gets ready to compete in the iconic Rally Sanremo, a celebrated round of the European Historic Rally Championship.

In a social media post, Kelly shared his excitement about returning to the event, once again behind the wheel of a car generously loaned to him by fellow rally driver Michael Cullen.

"Lucky to say it's rally week again, in this car again," Kelly said, clearly thrilled to be back on the rally circuit.

He expressed his gratitude to Cullen for lending him the car for the event, which holds a special place in European rally history.

This year, Kelly will be joined by his co-driver Gordon Noble, as they take on the legendary Sanremo roads. Adding to the excitement, Kelly will also race against his father, who is competing in his own BMW M3.

"For the first time ever I will get to race my dad," Kelly shared, noting how much fun the father-son rivalry is expected to bring to the competition.

The Sanremo Rally is renowned for its challenging stages and storied past, and Kelly is eager to embrace the challenge, furthering his impressive track record in rally racing.
