Declan Ferry has become the overall winner of the National Adventure Race Series 2024 after his second-place in the Westport Sea 2 Summit 2024.
The Loughanure native finished the 58k course in 2:49.22, which was 62 seconds behind Alan Dunne, the overall winner, with Anthony Murray in third on 2:56.11. However, his finish in Mayo was enough to take the national title by a single point. The Rosses AC member was a winner this year at the Quest Glendalough, Gaelforce West and Quest Lough Derg.
